OpenTabuk

About OpenTabuk

The idea for OpenTabuk was born out of the reality that news organizations tend to have people who tell them what not to report on, be it their owners, their sponsors, or their PR departments. There is no such person in our case. The story being true and embarrassing for a big shot is a perfect reason to publish it.

How We Work

We lead with the report, using the podcast to discuss what we have uncovered, so that our reporting is not simply another noise added onto the pile. Each report is reviewed prior to posting. We will not suppress the report just because it is embarrassing to those involved, nor will we soften it to maintain harmony.

Standards

A story does not go to print based on one source; we need at least two sources that can independently back it up. If you talk to us on an off-the-record basis, it will stay off the record even if a legal representative politely requests us to change that policy. In case we are wrong, which is inevitable sometimes, we make it right for everyone to see. Read our full editorial standards and legal notice.

Get Involved

If you know something worth looking into, send it over — you don't have to tell us who you are. If you want to write, edit, or help out with the podcast, get in touch. And if you'd rather just help keep the site running, even a bit helps.
