White house launches “trump tv” as he's started a press war with the mainstream outlets.

The YouTube stream officially went live at 7 p.m. ET yesterday, and it opened with a rerun of Trump's July 3rd speech at Mount Rushmore. This is because Trump barred reporters from CNN, MSNBC, and Politico from the White House, accusing them of “reporting fake news,” and in return, every other mainstream outlet has started a boycott of coverage.

This timing was perfect. At a ribbon-cutting event yesterday for a new helipad at the White House, there was no audio coverage of any of the speeches, leaving him without coverage.

Its own live-stream page promises public administration videos, presidential remarks, and other highlights, but so far it hasn't covered any recent events and is just playing reruns.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said, “First Trump banned independent news from the White House, and now he's launching what is quite literally state-run TV to try drowning out the fact he and his corrupt administration are failing the American people."

But what should we look out for? Because the test isn't the launch; it's what they decide to put out and whether it'll all be propaganda.
